Overall purpose:
You will be a member of the Estates team at the MRC Laboratory of Medical Sciences (LMS) working as a Maintenance Technician. As part of the team, and dependent on your experience and expertise, your focus will be either be electrical or mechanical (or multi-skilled). As such you will be responsible for supporting the electrical and/or mechanical servicing and repairs at the main LMS building and other LMS sites on the Hammersmith Hospital Campus. The workload is varied, and priorities can change at short notice.

You will report to the Hard Services Manager and will be part of the Estates team within the wider LMS Research Environment function.
You will interact with members of the LMS, effectively communicating with them to establish their needs and communicate these needs both orally and through written specifications to those carrying out the work. You will also work closely with other members of the Research Environment team to coordinate works with minimal disruption to science e.g. Health & Safety, Lab Services, Soft Services
